A Jacob's Ladder (or klick klack) is a classic folk toy that has delighted kids of all ages for generations. When the toy is held up at one end, the tiles appear to cascade down. This "kinetic illusion" (where the tiles appear to move, even though they remain in place) is what makes this toy so transfixing.

To get the Jacob's Ladder going, grip the edges of the end tile and let rest hang freely. Turn your wrist up and over, and the blocks appear to tumble down, making a clapping sound when it knocks into the block below it on each flip.

I test all the toys before they ship to make sure they are functional!

These toys are constructed from unfinished oak and nylon ribbons. The tiles measure approximately 2-3/4" by 2-1/4" and are 1/2" thick. The ribbons are securely glued into the center of each tile; there are no nails, staples, or pieces that can come loose. Due to the variability of wood grains, the toy(s) you purchase will appear slightly different than the ones pictured.
