Meet the Maker

Hello, I’m Jeff—maker and owner of Silver Birch Woodshop, LLC.

I’ve always enjoyed building and creating. When I was a boy, I made pinewood derby cars in the garage and wooden swords out of old tobacco lath from my grandpa’s barn.

In high school I took shop classes where I learned the tools and techniques needed to turn rough cut lumber into finished projects.

I’ve worked in elementary and middles schools as a teacher for over 25 years, but in my spare time I kept up my interest in woodworking.

Much of my inspiration comes from my family as well as my daily work with youth. I’m proud to make games for players of all ages that bring smiles and laughter, as well as a bit of competition with others—or just themselves.
